BALLARD ROAD COVERED BRIDGE/GREENE COUNTY

This bridge is located within a 2-3 mile radius of where several of the old one room schoolhouses were located. 
It would almost be a certainty that numerous of those students routinely utilized this bridge

Length - 80'.... WNW of Jamestown, New Jasper Township. U.S. Rt-35 W 2.0 miles from jct with OH Rt-72 in Jamestown, continue W. on Old U.S. Rt-35 2.7 miles, S. on Ballard Rd. .5 miles to bridge.   James E Brown built the bridge following a design by H.E. Hebble. He chose to name it for a nearby industrialist, Lyman Ballard. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on May 29, 1975. Rehabilitated in 2016. Open to through traffic.
